Worry Has No Place

It makes no sense to worry about things you have no control over because there's nothing you can do about them, and why worry about things you do control? The activity of worrying keeps you immobilized.
-- Wayne Dyer

Drag your thoughts away from your troubles... by the ears, by the heels, or any other way you can manage it.
-- Mark Twain

Worry has no place in your life. Worry causes paralysis. Just as it keeps a deer staring into the headlights of an oncoming car, it can keep you trapped in inaction, leaving your future in the hands of external factors. The wrong decision or action is still better then no decision or action. Taking action has you interacting with your environment, and offers feedback and clues about the next step or action to take. Two things you can do to immunize yourself from worry are accepting that worry has no positive value and resolving to take some action as soon as you find yourself trapped.
